LearningLinks contains the combined resource collections of Literacy Alberta and the Calgary Learning Centre. This new partnership has created a library with over 14,000 resources for people living and working with literacy and learning difficulties. LearningLinks also partners with the University of Calgary Libraries and Cultural Resources.

LearningLinks Catalogue

Literacy Alberta members can search for information on family, English as a second language, workplace, health, senior, and adult literacy topics - including in depth information on learning difficulties, attention deficit, hyperactivity and other attention disorders.

  • Literacy Alberta members in good standing need to fill out a library registration form.
  • Materials can be reserved online via the Online Catalogue
  • Out of town borrowers receive their materials via Canada Post.

  • Materials can be borrowed for up to three weeks - renewals are allowed if the item is not on hold.
  • Borrowers are responsible for the replacement cost of lost or damaged materials, trunks, or totes.

Travelling Trunks/Travelling Totes

Travelling Trunks and Totes are collections of materials (including books, journals, reports, kits, CD's, videos and DVD's) used to support teaching, learning, marketing, and professional development activities.

Travelling Trunks and Totes are loaned out for a period of four weeks, not including travelling time. Renewals are accepted if no holds are placed on the trunk. Samples of current trunks include:

  • Plain Language
